Trials & tribulations will turn to triumphing & testimonies this Sunday @
Facebook Buys WhatsApp For $19bn
Some years back, the now former owners of Whatsapp Messager, Mr Jan Koum, said they would never sell Whatsapp. But at about midnight yesterday, the world's biggest social networking company Facebook announced that it is buying mobile messaging service WhatsApp for $19 billion in cash and stock
Facebook would pay $12 billion in Facebook stock and $4 billion in cash for WhatsApp.
In addition, the app's founders and employees will be granted $3 billion in restricted stock that will vest over four years after the deal closes.
Facebook says it is keeping WhatsApp as a separate service, just as it did with Instagram, which it bought for about $715.3 million. I didn't even kwon Facebook had bought Instagram. WhatsApp is facebook's biggest acquisition so far
WhatsApp has more than 450 million monthly active users. In comparison, Twitter had 241 million users at the end of 2014. Check out just why Facebook was so interested in WhatsApp after the cut
Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg says WhatsApp is on path to reach a billion users.
'The combination of WhatsApp and Facebook will allow us to connect many more people round the world,' Zuckerberg said.
'We want to develop more mobile experiences like Instagram and Messenger.
'WhatApp fits this vision perfectly, it has incredibly strong engagement and growth.'
'It's the only app we've ever seen that has grown more quickly than Facebook itself.'
'Their product roadmap is very exciting and won't change.
As part of the deal, WhatsApp co-founder and Chief Executive Jan Koum will join Facebook's board, and the social network will grant an additional $3 billion worth of restricted stock units to WhatsApp's founders, including Koum.
'This is an incredible moment for me,' Mr Koum said.
'Every day over 19bn messages are sent, with over 1m new users every day.

Winner's Chapel spoils Bishop David Oyedepo with.........
These are reported as culed from Enconium magazine
Enconium Weekly reports that 59 year old clergy, who will turn 60 on September 27, Bishop David Oyedepo, told his ardent congregation that he needed 200 new Prado
jeeps for ministerial purpose.
It was gathered that the exact reasons for the need were undisclosed, but it might not be unconnected to the fact that it is for use in some of their
branches manned by his ordained Pastors scattered across the country.
Inquiries further revealed that a brand new Prado jeep goes for about N10.6 million thus, the estimated cost of 200 Prado jeeps comes to N2.1 billion.
It is revealed that it was an individual contribution by wealthy members who voluntarily donated the jeeps. Even though the place of purchase cannot be easily determined nor the identity of the donors revealed, it is gathered that the jeeps are tucked away inside
Cannanland at Otta, Ogun State.

The Gift Of No Condemnation |
|
When
Jesus was on earth, a woman caught in the act of adultery was brought
before Him by the scribes and Pharisees, the religious mafia of His day.
They tried to trap Him by posing a question that was difficult to
answer: “Now Moses, in the law, commanded us that such should be stoned.
But what do You say?” (John 8:5)
Jesus
answered, “He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at
her first.” (John 8:7) The scribes and Pharisees began to leave one by
one till none of them were left.
The people in the crowd who wanted to condemn the woman could not. But Jesus, the only one in the crowd who truly had the power to condemn her, would not. He then asked her, “Woman… Has no one condemned you?” (John 8:10)
He spoke such words of grace to her because He loved her. Also, by
asking her the question, He was giving her a chance to speak words of no
condemnation to herself — “No one [condemns me], Lord.” (John 8:11)
Jesus not only spoke words of grace to her, He also gave her the gift
of no condemnation — “Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more”. It
was when she received the gift of no condemnation that she had the power
to “go and sin no more”.
Today,
you have the gift of no condemnation because the Son of God was
condemned for all your sins. (Romans 8:1) Today, God cannot condemn you
when you sin because He is faithful and just to what His Son has done.
So if the devil tries to convince you that God is angry with you when you blow it, just say, “God does not condemn me today because He has already condemned Jesus at the cross 2,000 years ago!”
Unfortunately, we still hear people saying, “Go and sin no more first,
then I won’t condemn you.” Maybe you have been saying this to yourself
too. But God says, “I don’t condemn you. Go and sin no more.” He gives
you the gift of no condemnation, so that you have the strength to go and
sin no more!

Pastor Bakare denies labelling APC ‘satanic’
Pastor Tunde Bakare has denied recent reports that he labelled political party APC, 'satanic'
“APC is like a newly opened church of Satan with the evil as a pastor which could not be distinguished by Nigerians from a true living Godly church and hence could be mistaken for a real church, even when it was made of thieves (Legitimate Pen Robbers),” Mr. Bakare, who pastors the Latter Rain Assembly, was reported as saying during a sermon. But his lawyer says he never made such a comment
“The publication which has been shared on other online news platforms and social media has no shred of truth. It is malicious, offensive and intended to disparage our client and cause him embarrassment and public condemnation.”
Sweet Surprise: Mother Expecting Triplets Delivers Identical Quadruplets (PHOTOS)
Kimberly Fugate, who already has a 10-year-old daughter and wasn’t planning to have any more children – until she found out she was pregnant with triplets in November 2013, got a surprise when she ended up delivering four healthy baby girls last week, The Clarion Ledger reported.
FOX News reports:
When Fugate, 42, went into labor at
the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) on February 8, she
had delivered three healthy babies as expected. But then, her doctor
looked at her and said, “More feet.”
Shortly after, a fourth baby girl was
delivered – surprising Fugate, her husband and her doctor. Dr. James
Bofill, director of maternal-fetal medicine at UMMC, said the scenario
was a first in his 27-year-long career.
“I was very embarrassed, obviously,”
Bofill told The Clarion Ledger. “The news was sent to me by one of my
fellows. I thought she was kidding.”
Fugate’s ‘surprise’ baby wasn’t the
only thing that made her case so unusual. Bofill noted that Fugate’s
quadruplets were all identical – an extremely rare phenomenon.
“No one really knows what makes a
single zygote separate into identical twins or identical triplets, or in
this case, identical quadruplets,” Bofill told The Clarion Ledger.
“It’s definitely an accident; it’s not supposed to happen and, in some
cases, like Ms. Fugate’s, it happens in a spectacular manner.”
The baby girls – Kenleigh, Kristen,
Kaleigh and Kelsey – were born premature at 28 weeks and will remain in
the hospital until May.

Read about this historic HIGHER LIFE CONFERENCE with Pastor Chris in cape town
HIGHER LIFE CONFERENCE CAPE TOWN SOUTH AFRICA
From Cape Town to the rest of the world! At the meeting-point between the Table Mountain and the Atlantic Ocean, seats the ultramodern and multi-purpose Cape Town Stadium. In the month of March, thousands gathered at the stadium not to attend a sporting event or a political rally, but to hear about and experience the realities of the glorious transcendent life in Christ at the Higher Life Conference Cape Town with Pastor Chris.
An Answer To The Prayers Of Many
Brian, a resident of Cape Town, couldn't hide his excitement at the thought of being blessed and transformed by the Word and power of God, right in his city. "I've been following Pastor Chris' messages for some time now. I've read several of his books and I consistently watch his programmes on TV. I've however longed to be present at his meetings so I can hear him teach the Word in person and have a richer experience with the anointing. What more can I ask for; God answered my prayers by bringing Higher Life Conference to Cape Town!”
A Defining Moment Of Destiny
The conference was an eye-opener and defining moment of destiny for all delegates who attended from 125 countries. For three days, they were strengthened and buoyed up in their faith through the anointed teaching of the Word, experiencing the tangible presence of God as the man of God expounded the Word by the power of the Holy Ghost.
"I've been particularly blessed by every aspect of this conference,” said a delegate from South Korea. "The inspiring worship and praise, enlightening talk shows, and special sessions with Pastor Chris have made a deep and lasting impact in my spirit. My life can never remain the same,” he said.
"He That Believes Has...”
Pastor Chris started his message by explaining that the reason for the Higher Life Conference is for Christians to understand the Gospel they've received. "It's one thing to receive Christ and be born again,” he said, "but it's another thing to know what it really means.”
Though many believe in Jesus, they can't say what it is about Jesus they've believed or what it is they received as a consequence of their believing. However, everyone who believes in Jesus ought to be aware they’ve received something; everlasting life. We received that life when we believed in Christ. The Lord Jesus said in John 6:47, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.” The Lord also made a sovereign declaration–a divine law–in John 3:16: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
Eternal Life Brings You Into Fellowship With God
Of all God's creation, man is the only one gifted with the ability to make words. All others have sounds, but we have words. The big thing about what happens when you receive life is that you're immediately awakened to fellowship with God and your words take on a new meaning. You find that you can express yourself to God in words because He expresses Himself in words, and this brings you into His class.
"This is Christianity,” the man of God asserted. "It's not a religion; rather it is the message of the divinity of the person who has received Christ.”
Discover The Treasure In You
Many Christians are not effective in Christianity because they haven't acknowledged all the good things they have in them by virtue of being in Christ Jesus. Your participation in the Gospel of Christ becomes more effective as you acknowledge all the good things He has deposited in you (Philemon 1:6)

A Cocktail Of Blessings For All Delegates!
Great was the impact of the ministration of the Word that, as the man of God made the altar call on all three days, thousands stood up to confess the Lordship of Jesus over their lives! Just as the man of God prophesied on the first day of the meeting, the glorious presence of God rested on everyone present at the stadium's main bowl and at the overflow sections. As they received the message of the higher life in Christ, they were transported from one level of glory to another and many mighty and diverse miracles occurred.
The 2012 Higher Life Conference in Cape Town has indeed kindled a spiritual fire in the southern tip of Africa that will spread across the continent and to the ends of the earth!
Though this event is long gone, the impact remains till eternity.... Share the impact of this program for the world to read

Financial irregularities
The charity behind Kingsway International Christian Centre is The King's Ministries Trust. This was investigated by the Charity Commission of England and Wales between 2002 and 2005. A report of the inquiry was released in October 2005.[4] The report concluded that there had been serious misconduct and mismanagement in the administration of the charity. At an early stage in the investigation, it was considered that the charity's assets were at risk, and control was removed from the existing trustees and placed in the hands of an independent external company (the accountancy and management consultancy practice KPMG), who regularised the charity's affairs. The report found that:[4]
- there was serious misconduct and mismanagement in the administration of the Charity (section 21)
- he was responsible for approving payments and benefits to himself and his wife, Yemisi, totalling more than £384,000 (section 11)
- he and his family received benefits from the Charity including:
- free accommodation for himself and family (section 4)
- an £80,000 car (section 12)
- he had made personal purchases using the Charity’s Visa card, including the purchase of a timeshare apartment in Florida for £13,000 (section 18)
- over half a million pounds was paid out to Ashimolowo's private companies, which were operated from church property and had unclear business relationships with the charity (section 15)
- Ashimolowo acted as both a trustee and a paid employee of the charity (section 4)
In a subsequent debate in the House of Lords, Lord Swinfen questioned the Charity Commission's running of this investigation. He acknowledged the technical breach, but highlighted its openness, "This unincorporated trust has for some years been remunerating its trustees for various services and doing so quite openly. It made the mistake of not realising that it should have altered its constitution explicitly to allow that to be done." He then questioned the cost of the investigation "With some advice from the commission and the use of the charity lawyer, the trustees of this charity could have affected these changes for some £12,000—one-hundredth of the sum the commission has already spent." He added "The commission believes, understandably, that the future success of this charity is assured by the charity having new trustees".[5]

David O. Oyedepo is reputed to be the richest pastor in Nigeria,[1]
affectionately called "Papa" by members of his church congregation
(born September 27, 1954) is a Nigerian Christian author, preacher and
the founder and presiding bishop
of Living Faith Church World Wide, also known as Winners Chapel, and
its affiliated international churches known as Winners Chapel
International, with headquarters in Ogun State,
Nigeria. He is also the senior pastor of Faith Tabernacle, a 50,000
seat church auditorium reputed to be the largest church auditorium in
the world by the Guinness Book of Records.[2]
The Winners Chapel network of churches is present in over 300 cities,
in all states of Nigeria, as well as in over 63 cities in 32 African
nations, Dubai, the United Kingdom and the United States of America.[3][4]
Oyedepo has been seen as one of pioneers of the Christian charismatic
movement in Africa and has been referred to as one of the most powerful
preachers in Nigeria.[5] He was named in 2011 by Forbes magazine as being the richest pastor in Nigeria, worth around $150 million.[6]
Bishop David received a mandate from God through an 18 hour long vision in May 1981 to liberate the world from all oppression of the devil through the preaching of the word of faith.[8] This is the inaugural vision that led to the founding of the Living Faith Church World Wide (LFCWW), first called Liberation Faith Hour Ministries, in 1981. Two years after, on 17 September 1983, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, ordained David and his wife, Florence Abiola Akano (now known as Faith Abiola Oyedepo) to become pastors also officially commissioned the newly started church of Oyedepo. Five years after, Oyedepo was ordained a Bishop.
Living Faith Church (AKA Winners Chapel) started in Kaduna, but moved to Lagos, the former capital of Nigeria in September 1989 to start a new branch of His Church, after receiving an instruction from God to reach out to the population in Lagos.[9] This Church in Lagos grew to become the International headquarters of Living Faith Church, with a constantly increasing flow of crowds spilling over to adjacent roads, and on decks of uncompleted buildings nearby, compelling people to stand for hours to listen to His teachings. This led to the building of the renowned Faith Tabernacle, as instructed by God.
Oyedepo is the wealthiest preacher in Nigeria with a net worth of over USD $150 million. The church he pastors, owns four private jets and they own buildings all around the world, including London and the United States. Oyedepo is an acclaimed author and publisher who has written over 70 titles apart from periodicals. He is also Chairman/Publisher of Dominion Publishing House (DPH), a publishing arm of his ministry. DPH has over 4 million prints in circulation to date. Through him, Covenant University, Landmark University, Faith Academy (Nigeria)|Faith Academy and Kingdom Heritage Schools have been established to equip the youth for impact. The construction of a third university named Crown University is already underway, located in Calabar, Cross Rivers state, Nigeria.[10]
The speed of the construction of Faith Tabernacle was breath-taking, considering the size of the building. Construction of this gigantic project was completed within 12 months, which experts claim could only have been a miracle, because such a project should normally take a minimum of three years to complete. Reports also claimed that this building was built debt free.[15][16][17] This 50,000-seat edifice was dedicated on September 18, 1999 under the administration of former President Olusegun Obasanjo.[18]
Canaanland is in Ota, Ogun state and is the 5,000-acre (20 km2) estate and campus, that houses The 50,000 church building, the church secretariat, the church's youth chapel, a primary school called Kingdom heritage model school, a full boarding mission secondary school called Faith Academy, with over 1,500 students and the its University facilities which accommodates over 7,000 students, fully resident in ultra-modern hostel facilities, with fully equipped faculty buildings and numerous staff housing facilities.Canaanland campus also has for profit establishments operated by the church such as a bakery, a bottled water processing plant, a petrol station, various restaurants and shopping stores, several residential houses that provide for the over 2,000 church employees, and guest houses.Four banks are also present on this Estate, three of which are branches of external commercial banks and one which is a community and micro-finance Bank and operated by the Church.[19][20]
The teachings of Oyedepo are grouped under a range of topics called '12 pillars of Destiny', which include: Faith, The Word, Prosperity, the Holy Spirit, Praise, Consecration, the Supernatural, Wisdom, Prayer, Success, Vision and Healing.[24] The Overall focus of His teachings centre around Faith in God's, Prosperity and Miracles. He teaches that faith in the word of God is the key to a life of God's blessings and security from the works of the devil. His teachings on prosperity are aimed at empowering people to live free from poverty, particularly the African continent. He describes his own teaching on prosperity as “covenant software for programming yourself into victories and triumphs."[25] His Church (Winners Chapel) also operates a Bible training programme known as Word of Faith Bible Institute for members and non-members alike to develop knowledge of Christian principles and to develop leaders and future pastors. This institute is run in major branches of the Church.[26]
Oyedepo who operates like the “Chief Executive Officer” of a conglomerate,is the President of David Oyedepo Ministries International (DOMI).[27] DOMI is the umbrella organisation comprising Living Faith Church World Wide (a global network of churches), World Mission Agency (WMA); the global missionary arm of the church's operations, Dominion Publishing House; the publishing arm of the church, Covenant University, and the Social Development Missions projects (made up of hospitals, maternity homes, schools, etc.
Oyedepo is also a strong critic of corruption in Africa as a whole and poor leadership in government.[28]
In December 2011, a video surfaced online of a sermon (believed to have occurred in 2009) during which Oyedepo physically assaulted a young lady. The video shows a member of the congregation, bowed before him alongside other so-called "witches" and "sinners", state she was "a witch for Jesus". Oyedepo struck the young woman in the face, in full view of the church and accompanied by shouts of approval. He then proclaimed that she was "free to go to hell fire". Oyedepo justified the assault by citing the Bible, wherein "witches" are condemned to death.[29][30]
Landmark University by her founder (Dr. Oyedepo) was said to be built with over USD $100 million at one of his speaking engagement in 2011' This university will be a top quality university that will be able to compete with universities such as Harvard. '[31]

Early life and history
On September 27, 1954 David Olaniyi Oyedepo was born in Osogbo but is a native Omu Aran, Kwara into a religiously mixed family: his father,Ibrahim, was a Muslim healer and his mother, Dorcas, was a member of the Eternal Order of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement (C&S), a branch of the Aladura movement in Nigeria. He was raised by his grandmother in Osogbo, who inculcated into him the virtues of Christian life via the early morning prayers which she attended with him. She also taught him the importance of tithing. David was “born again” in 1969 through the influence of his teacher, one Ms. Betty Lasher, who took special interest in him during his high school days. He studied architecture at Kwara State Polytechnic and worked briefly with the Federal Ministry of Housing in Ilorin before resigning to concentrate on missionary work. Oyedepo also gained a Ph.D in Human Development from Honolulu University, Hawaii, United States of America.[7]Bishop David received a mandate from God through an 18 hour long vision in May 1981 to liberate the world from all oppression of the devil through the preaching of the word of faith.[8] This is the inaugural vision that led to the founding of the Living Faith Church World Wide (LFCWW), first called Liberation Faith Hour Ministries, in 1981. Place of worship
In 1998,Oyedepo set forth to build a new building to accommodate the increasing number of worshippers. This resulted in his Church's acquisition of the initial 530-acre (2.1 km2) facility, known as Canaanland, which serves as the headquarters of His Church. It is the home of the 50,000-seat capacity auditorium, the 'Faith Tabernacle', which is reputed to be the largest Church auditorium in the world.[11] This was a feat also recorded by the Guinness Book of Records.[12][13][14]The speed of the construction of Faith Tabernacle was breath-taking, considering the size of the building. Christian ministry
The teachings of Oyedepo has put him in the category of what is commonly called the Word of Faith Movement.[21] He has referred to principal exponents of the Faith Movement such as Kenneth Copeland, Gloria Copeland, the late Kenneth Hagin, T.L Osborn, Smith WigglesWorth as well as renowned Nigerian preachers Enoch Adeboye and the late Benson Idahosa as mentors.[22][23]The teachings of Oyedepo are grouped under a range of topics called '12 pillars of Destiny', which include: Faith, The Word, Prosperity, the Holy Spirit, Praise, Consecration, the Supernatural, Wisdom, Prayer, Success, Vision and Healing.[24] The Overall focus of His teachings centre around Faith in God's, Prosperity and Miracles.
Criticisms and controversy
Oyedepo has received much criticism from many in the Christian community as focusing on prosperity. This is largely based on the biblical passage "Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God." (Matthew 19:23-24, Mark 10:24-25, Luke 18:24-25).In December 2011, a video surfaced online of a sermon (believed to have occurred in 2009) during which Oyedepo physically assaulted a young lady.
Educational endeavours
Oyedepo's socio-economic endeavours include founding over 100 educational institutions based on Christian principles for primary, secondary and tertiary stages of formal Education to empower the young generation, develop the human capacity and improve the educational system in Nigeria and Africa. This has led to the establishment of kingdom heritage model schools in different cities in Nigeria for primary education, Faith Academy; a missionary full boarding secondary school was opened to students on October 25, 1999 and Covenant University.Covenant University was opened to students on October 21, 2002 and was adjudged to be the best private university in Nigeria as of 2005. On March 21, 2011, Landmark University, Omuaran Kwara State (another educational institution founded by the Ministry) officially opened the doors to her pioneer students.Landmark University by her founder (Dr. Oyedepo) was said to be built with over USD $100 million at one of his speaking engagement in 2011' This university will be a top quality university that will be able to compete with universities such as Harvard.
